Leander junior Brooke Frushour returns to the UIL state swimming championships as a defending state champion and one of Texasโ€™ top contenders. A Rutgers commit, Frushour is chasing additional state titles while building a legacy in the pool.

Swayde Griffin, Lily Muzzy and LBJ relay teams shine on final day of Texas Relays

Swayde Griffin, son of former Longhorn great Cedric Griffin, won his third Texas Relaysโ€™ 110-meter hurdles gold. Lily Muzzy triumphed in the triple jump, and LBJ relay teams excelled. Other notable performances included Vista Ridgeโ€™s Emma Wade and Round Rockโ€™s relay teams.

LBJโ€™s 4×200 relay team sets Texas Relays record in Fridayโ€™s preliminaries

LBJโ€™s relay team broke the Texas Relays record in the boysโ€™ 4×200-meter relay with a time of 1:25.17. Other notable performances included Mia Perezโ€™s third place in the girlsโ€™ 1,600-meter run and Jeremiah Robinsonโ€™s fourth place in the boysโ€™ discus. The finals for various events are scheduled for Saturday.
