The road to the postseason begins on Friday for most teams in the Greater Austin Area. Teams wrapped up non-district play this week with some big matchups and a couple of upsets. Our Class 6A poll remains unchanged. However, Liberty Hill regained the top spot in Class 5A.
The Panthers only had one match since our last rankings and picked up a statement road win over Class 4A No. 9 Salado in four sets. It was just enough to overtake Georgetown, which was upset by Cedar Park after beating Westlake.
Anderson makes its debut in our Class 5A poll at No. 5, while the Timberwolves jump a spot to move to No. 4. McCallum drops out for the first time this season.
In Class 4A, Gateway Prep is the new No. 2 team after the Gators leapfrogged Salado. Thrall comes in at No. 5, as Marble Falls drops out.
