LEANDER – Lake Travis’ Madison Pinzon only had one hit Thursday but made it count.

The junior third baseman blasted a three-run home run in the fifth inning of a one-game Class 6A bi-district playoff to lift the Cavaliers past Vista Ridge 5-3 at Glenn High School in Leander Texas.

Lake Travis (22-13) took an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning on a two-run single by catcher Haley Whitfield to score Julie Rodriguez and Kamdyn Ingram.

Rodriguez got the win in the circle, giving up three runs on six hits while striking out seven Vista Ridge batters.
