Greer is a 5-star recruit and considered the top recruit in Texas for the class of 2025

The Lake Travis boys basketball team will be without Texas’ top recruit for the 2024-25 season.
The Athletic’s Tobias Bass reported Monday that 5-star prospect Hudson Greer has transferred to Montverde Academy, a private school in Montverde, Florida in the Greater Orlando area.
Lake Travis head coach Brandon Shaver confirmed the report on X, stating “Hudson Greer is a special player. Can’t wait to see what his future holds. Love ya!”
Greer, a 6-foot-6, 1190-pound small forward scored more than 1,500 points in three years with the Cavaliers, helping them reach the Class 6A-Region IV semifinals and win the District 26-6A championship.
According to 24/7 Sports, Greer has offers from Creighton, Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas and Auburn.
Greer averaged 22.4 points and 7.4 rebounds per game and was Lake Travis’ leading scorer.
The Cavaliers graduated six seniors from this year’s team that went 32-6.
