Nine teams from the Greater Austin Metro Area this weekend will be vying for a spot at next week’s UIL state soccer tournament in Georgetown.

Regional tournaments get underway on Friday with semifinals and regional championships will take place Saturday.

Here’s the regional semifinal schedule for area teams:

Class 6A-Region IV

Friday-Saturday at Comalander Stadium, 12002 Jones Maltsberger Road, San Antonio

Girls semifinals

Westlake (14-4-2) vs. Harlingen (21-3), 11 a.m.

Round Rock (19-0-4) vs. San Antonio Taft (20-0-4), 1 pm.

Girls championship

11 a.m. Saturday

Boys semifinals

San Antonio Johnson (14-4-4) vs. Edinburg North (13-6), 4 p.m.

Vandegrift (20-2-2) vs. San Antonio Harlan (18-3-4), 6 p.m.

Boys championship

1 p.m. Saturday

Class 5A-Region III

Friday-Saturday at Turner Stadium, 1701 Wilson Road, Humble

Girls semifinals

Georgetown (22-1-4) vs. Goose Creek Memorial (17-6-4), 11 a.m.

Hendrickson (19-3-2) vs. Port Neches-Groves (26-2), 1 p.m.
