No. 3 seed Texas overpowered Ole Miss on Sunday night, sweeping the Rebels 3–0 (25–11, 25–17, 25–8) in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals at Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia.

With the win, the Longhorns improved to 22–2 and advanced to Monday’s semifinal against rival No. 2 seed Texas A&M. Texas lost to the Aggies on Oct. 31 in five sets.

The Longhorns recorded a blistering .475 hitting percentage as a team, marking its 14th match of the season hitting above .400 and its 12th sweep of the year.

Torrey Stafford led the Texas with 16 kills and eight digs while hitting .500, pushing her season total to 412 kills, a new career high for the junior. Freshman Cari Spears added 11 kills while hitting .579, and Taylor Harvey posted five blocks, matching her season high as Texas finished with nine team blocks.

The Longhorns seized full control from the opening serve, ripping off a 9–0 run in the first set — their longest scoring stretch of the season.

Set two was the tightest of the night, but Texas’ efficiency and Ole Miss’ four service errors created separation in a 25–17 win. Stafford added three kills and four digs, while setter Ella Swindle totaled nine assists in the frame.

Texas repeated its opening burst in the third set, again starting on a 9–0 run. The Longhorns closed out the sweep with a 25–8, holding the Rebels to a -.114 hitting percentage while committing zero hitting errors of their own.

Texas meets No. 2 seed Texas A&M in Monday’s semifinal approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the day’s opening match at 5 p.m.
