No. 2 seed Texas A&M continued its postseason surge Sunday evening, sweeping No. 15 seed Vanderbilt 3–0 (25–21, 25–21, 27–25) in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals at Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia.

With the win, the Aggies improved to 23–3, securing the program’s most since 2019 and advancing to the tournament semifinals for a rematch with rival Texas. Texas A&M defeated Texas on Oct. 31 in a five-set thriller.

Texas A&M hit .345 as a team, marking its fourth straight match above the .300 mark. Setter Maddie Waak directed the offense with 40 assists, tying the school postseason record for a three-set match in the rally-scoring era.

The opening set featured 10 ties before the Aggies separated with a 6–1 run to build a 21–16 cushion. Logan Lednicky, who finished with 14 kills, terminated the frame to put A&M ahead 25–21.

The second set mirrored the first, with Vanderbilt holding a brief 13–11 lead before A&M surged back to go up 15–14 at the media timeout. Kyndal Stowers sparked the push with three kills and an ace, and the Aggies closed out another 25–21 decision to take a two-set advantage.

In the third, Texas A&M appeared in full control up 20–15, but the Commodores rallied to force extra points and held set point at 25–24. A&M responded with three straight to seal the sweep, 27–25.

Ifenna Cos-Okpalla added 11 kills while hitting .421 and notched four blocks, becoming the first Aggie since 1985 to post three consecutive 150-block seasons. Lednicky extended her streak of double-digit kill performances to 16 matches, while Ava Underwood paced the defense with 12 digs.

Texas A&M faces No. 3 seed Texas in Monday’s semifinal, approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the day’s opening match at 5 p.m.
