PFLUGERVILLE โย The Anderson Trojans secured a commanding 45-24 victory over the Hendrickson Hawks Friday at The Pfield, maintaining its hold on District 12-5A-I.
From the opening whistle, Anderson (6-0, 4-0) dominated both sides of the ball, racking up 566 total yards. Quarterback Cove Darbyshire led the aerial attack, completing 15 of 20 passes for 182 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
However, the star of the night was undoubtedly Caleb Crenshaw, who delivered another dominating performance on the ground. The senior carried the ball 31 times for 294 yards, averaging 9.5 yards per carry, and scored two touchdowns.
Supporting Crenshawโs efforts, Jay Fullmer added 59 rushing yards, 35 receiving yards, and three touchdowns, while Gage Willis contributed a receiving touchdown with a 27-yard catch.
Hendrickson drops to 3-4 overall and 2-3 in district. The Hawks’ playoff hopes hang by a thread but still possible Hendrickson will have to win out and have some help. Anderson can clinch a playoff spot with a win net week and a College Station loss to Hays, or with two wins.
