We are halfway through the 205 Texas high school football season. District games begin for most of the area this week and next. Here are the standout performances from Week 5.
Friday Night Star of the Week
Wade Allen, Westwood, RB
The senior rushed for 293 yards on 18 carries (16.3 ypc) and scored four touchdowns in the Warriors’ win over Manor.
Small Town Friday Night Star of the Week
Luke Davis, Llano, QB
The junior passed for 262 yards and four touchdowns on 16-of-24 passing to lead the Yellowjackets past Comfort.

Trae Hill, Cedar Park: The senior running back rushed for 220 yards on 24 carries (9.2 yards per carry) and scored five touchdowns in the Timberwolves’ win over Killeen Chaparral.
Gary Jefferson Jr., Bastrop: The senior running back rushed for 159 yards on 10 carries (15.9 ypc) and three touchdowns in the Bears’ win over McCallum.
Weston Nielsen, Bastrop: The junior quarterback threw for 314 yards and four touchdowns in the Bears’ win over McCallum, while completing 21 of 27 pass attempts without an interception.
Dallas Crescenzo, Bastrop: The junior wide receiver caught 10 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns in the Bears’ win over McCallum.
Carter Buck, Lake Travis: The senior defensive end had five tackles, including a sack and two tackles for a loss, and an interception in the Cavaliers’ win over Bowie.
Cole Taylor, Pflugerville: The senior quarterback threw for 286 yards and six touchdowns in the Panthers’ win over Elgin, completing 22 of 30 pass attempts without an interception.
Tieson Ejiawoko, East View: The senior defensive end had 10 tackles, including two sacks in the Patriots’ win over Glenn.
Jadon Sultz, McNeil: The senior quarterback threw for 238 yards and four touchdowns in the Mavericks’ win over Stony Point, completing 12 of 17 pass attempts without an interception.
Nico Anderson, St. Michael’s: The junior quarterback threw for 368 yards and five touchdowns in the Warriors’ win over Antonian Prep, completing 36 of 49 pass attempts without an interception.
Andres Patino, St. Michael’s: The senior wide receiver caught 11 passes for 184 yards and one touchdown in the Warriors’ win over Antonian Prep.
Luke Davis, Llano: The junior quarterback threw for 262 yards and four touchdowns in the Yellowjackets’ win over Comfort, completing 16 of 24 pass attempts with one interception.
Caleb Crenshaw, Anderson: The senior running back rushed for 206 yards on 34 carries (6.1 ypc) and scored three touchdowns in the Trojans’ win over A&M Consolidated.
Wade Allen, Westwood: The senior running back rushed for 293 yards on 18 carries (16.3 ypc) and scored four touchdowns in the Warriors’ win over Manor.
Tre Moore, Weiss: The junior wide receiver caught eight passes for 1123 yards and two touchdowns in the Wolves’ win over Hendrickson.
Jaxon Schad, Weiss: The sophomore quarterback threw for 237 yards and rushed for 75 and scored five touchdowns in the Wolves’ win over Hendrickson. He completed 19 of 35 pass attempts with two interceptions.
Aden Patek, Wimberley: The junior safety had 14 tackles and a pass deflection in the Texans’ win over Geronimo Navarro.
Tytus Anderson, Wimberley: The junior linebacker had 11 tackles and an interception in the Texans’ win over Geronimo Navarro.
Taj Gaddy, Connally: The junior running back rushed for 156 yards on 10 carries and scored two touchdowns in the Cougars’ win over Crockett.
