Highlights: Westlake shows dominance in victory over Cibolo Steele

Reese Wise threwe for two touchdowns and ran in another to lift Westlake to a 37-14 win over Cibolo Steele Friday in teh Chaparrals first home game of the season.

The Ole Miss commit completed 13 of 16 pass attempts for 207 yards and didn’t throw a single interception. He completed one of his touchdown passes to junior Braden Riddell , who had five catches for 109 yards. The other was to junior Rhett Jenkins, who caught four passes for 60 yards.

Westlake (3-1) got its ground game going against the Knights (3-1). The Chaps rushed for 211 yards and three touchdowns, which sophomore Jarren Lopez leading the team with 104 yards on 13 carries.

Westlake is off next week and will open District 26-6A play on Oct. 2 against Akins at Burger Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
