SAN MARCOS – San Marcos took a 13-point lead into the locker room at halftime and went on to defeat visiting Hutto 40-27 Friday at Toyota Rattler Stadium.
The Rattlers (1-0) outscored Hutto 20-14 in the second half and held off a late push by the Hippos (0-1).
