The Georgetown girls basketball was selected as the 2025 Pat Summit national high school coach of the year by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), the organization announced Tuesday. She also won the award in 2017.

Farney has a long list of awards. She was inducted into the National High School Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2023 and was the Texas High School Coaches Association female state coach of the year in 2022.
