The Austin Sports Journal will reveal its 2025 All-Austin Metro girls soccer team and awards on Thursday, May 1. We pool players from all 84 public and private high schools in our coverage area and all-area teams for Class 6A, 5A and 4A & others.

While the ASJ selects teams by classification, individual awards are selected regardless of classification. The ASJ gives awards for small school player of the year, rising star (newcomer of the year), goalkeeper of the year and coach of the year.

The top award, which the ASJ titled Miss Austin Soccer, goes to the overall player of the year in the Austin area. Here are the five finalists, selected by Austin Sports Journal President and Publisher Michael Adams:

Meredith Koltz, Cedar Park: The most valuable player of the UIL Class 5A Division II state championship game helped the Timberwolves win the school’s first soccer state championship. The Belmont signee led her team with 33 goals and 22 assists for 88 points. She was the District 25-5A most valuable player.

Amelia Clark, Lake Travis: The District 26-6A most valuable player helped the Lady Cavaliers reach the Class 6A Division I state championship game and win the district championship. The junior and UTSA pledge was arguably one of the top players in the state.

Rylee Reisdorph, Davenport: The Central Arkansas signee ranked 11th nationally and 4th in Texas  for goals scored with 55, according to MaxPreps and 18th nationally and 7th in Texas for points with 116. Reisodrph was the heart of the Wolves run to the Class 4A Division I state championship game and was the District 26-4A most valuable player.

Lilli Sandoval, Wimberley: Like her district rival Reisdorph was for Davenport, Sandoval was a goal scoring machine for the Lady Texans. The junior tallied 46 total, which ranked her 13th in the state according to MaxPreps. Sandoval also ranked 13th in points with 109 and helped Wimberley reach the Class 4A Division II state championship game.

Mia Wiele, Westwood: The Texas Tech pledge was the District 25-6A most valuable player and helped the Warriors reach the Class 6A Division II regional finals. She led Westwood in goals and assists for the third straight season.
