2025 UIL Class 5A regional track and field results: Lily Muzzy repeats in triple jump, Liberty Hill wins boys title

Georgetown’s Lily Muzzy will aim to finish out her high school career with another state championship in the triple jump.

The senior and future SMU Mustang will get two chances at next month’s UIL state track and field meet as she won the Class 5A Region III championship in the triple jump and finished second in the long jump at the regional meet in Webster.

In the Class 5A Region IV meet in San Antonio, Liberty Hill’s boys took home the team championship as four individuals and two relay teams took home medals.

Below are the Austin-area medalists at the Class 5A Region III and Region IV track and field championships.

The top two finishers in each event automatically qualify for the state meet on May 1-3 at the University of Texasโ€™ Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin. The top time, distance or height among the four bronze medalists in the the event will get a call-up to the state meet.

Class 5A Region III

Girls

Automatic state qualifiers

Madison Hopkins, East View: Finished second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.58 seconds.

Eva Cragnolino, LASA: Won the regional championship in the 1600 with a time of 5 minutes, 1.89 seconds and in the 3200 with a time of 11:09.84.

Faith Murphy, Anderson: Finished second in the 800 with a time of 2:10.98 and in the 1600 with a time of 5:01.97.

Morgan Nelsen, Hendrickson: Finished second in the 3200 with a time of 11:13.15.

Lily Muzzy, Georgetown: Won the regional championship in the triple jump with a jump of 41 feet, 10.75 inches and finished second in the long jump with a distance of 19-0.

Other medalists

Peace Ese, East View: Finished third in the 400 with a time of 55.07 seconds.

East View: Finished third in the 4×100 relay with a time of 47.20 seconds and in the 4×400 relay with a time of 3:50.90.

Maggie Haywood, Bastrop: Finished second in the long jump with a jump of 18-4.25.

Boys

Automatic state qualifiers

Colby Huntress, Anderson: Won the regional championship in the 1600 with a time of 4:18.95, and in the 800 with a time of 1:53.58.

Zach Mangum, Georgetown: Finished second in the 3200 with a time of 9:33.20.

Michah Carter, Hendrickson: Won the regional championship in the high jump with a height of 6-4.

Zayden Sharp, Anderson: Won the regional championship in the long jump with a jump of 25-2.25.

Other medalists

Xaiden Dozier, East View: Finished third in the 110 hurdles with a time of 14.25 seconds.

Class 5A Region IV

Girls

Automatic state qualifiers

Lilly Keonig, Smithson Valley: Won the regional championship in the 3200-meter run with a time of 10 minutes, 43.03 seconds. Also finished second in the 800 with a time of 2:11.66.

Mia Perez, Smithson Valley: Won the regional championship in the 800 with a time of 2:09.24 and the 1600 with a time of 4:53.21.

Pieper: Finished second in the 4×100 relay with a time of 47.91 seconds, and in the 4×200 relay with a time of 1:41.07.

Shyla Boydstun, Pieper: Finished second in the 100 hurdles with a time of 14.30 seconds.

Camryn Wilson, Liberty Hill: Finished second in the 100 with a time of 11.66 seconds.

Addison Simon, Cedar Park: Finished second in the 300 hurdles with a time of 43.43 seconds.

Smithson Valley: Won the regional championship in the 4×400 relay with a time of 3:46.47.

Caroline Peterson, Pieper: Won the regional championship in the high jump with a height of 5-6.

Soma Okolo, Glenn: Finished second in the high jump with a height of 5-4.

Edna Stigall, Hays: Won the regional championship in the long jump with a distance of 19-1 and the triple jump with a jump of 40-6.25.

Sofia Mitschke, Smithson Valley: Finished second in the pole vault with a height of 12-0.

Aubrey Pozzi, Smithson Valley: Finished third in the 3200 with a time of 11:01.32.

Liberty Hill: Finished third in the 4×100 relay with a time of 47.96 seconds.

Rouse: Finished third in the 4×400 relay with a time of 3:52.85.

Savanah Moya, New Braunfels: Finished third in the 800 with a time of 2:12.52 and in the 1600 with a time of 4:59.20.

Addison Simon, Cedar Park: Finished third in the 100 hurdles with a time of 14.56 seconds. 

Taniyah Adams, Pieper: Finished third in the 100 with a time of 12.07 seconds.

Hallie Heitzmann, Rouse: Finished third in the 400 with a time of 56.78 seconds.

Alaina Fugate, New Braunfels: Finished third in the long jump with a distance of 18-3.

Reese Payne, Rouse: Finished third in the pole vault with a height of 11-6.

Mishaila Briggs, Pieper: Finished third in the 200 with a time of 24.97.

Liam Magee, Smithson Valley: Won the regional championship in the 100 with a time of 10.75 seconds.

Spencer Harvey, Liberty Hill: Won the regional championship in the 200 with a time of 21.75 seconds.

Liberty Hill: Finished second in the 4×100 relay with a time of 42.15 seconds.

Justin Bordelon, Liberty Hill: Won the regional championship in the discus with a throw of 185-1.

Cole Tavarez, New Braunfels: Finished second in the long jump with a distance of 22-2.75.

Paker Brown, Rouse: Won the regional championship in the pole vault with a height of 16-0.

Caden Oโ€™Hara, Rouse: Finished second in the pole vault with a height of 15-6.

DJ Seaborn, Liberty Hill: Won the regional championship in the triple jump with a distance of 48-2.25.
