2025 UIL Class 4A regional track and field results: Lago Vista boys win meet and more

Lago Vista’s boys had a big weekend at the UIL track and field regional championships, as did the Wimberley boys, Salado girls and Canyon Lake girls.

Lago Vista’s Swayde Griffin took home three golds winning the 110-meter hurdles, 200 and high jump at the Class 4A Region IV championships in Kingsville. Griffin helped the Vikings win the boys team regional title.

LBJ’s 4×100 and 4×200 meter relay teams won regional championships, while Antione Baker won the 200 at the Region IV meet.

In the Class 4A Region III meet in Bullard, Burnet distance runner Victor Aviles repeated as regional champion in the 800, 1600 and 3200.

Salado’s Annalee Bryant won regional championships in the girls 400 and 800 to help the Eagles take home the girls runner up trophy.

Below are the Austin-area medalists at the Class 4A Region III and Region IV track and field championships.

The top two finishers in each event automatically qualify for the state meet on May 1-3 at the University of Texasโ€™ Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin. The top time, distance or height among the four bronze medalists in the the event will get a call-up to the state meet.

Class 4A Region III

Girls

Automatic state qualifiers

Kaitlin Wilson, Giddings: Finished second in the 3200-meter run with a time of 11 minutes, 24.23 seconds.

Ahtziri Moore, Giddings: Finished second in the 100 hurdles with a time of 15.11.

Annalee Bryant, Salado: Won the 800 regional championship with a time of 2:13.26. Also won the regional championship in the 400 with a time of 58.01.

Kylie Roberts, Marble Falls: Finished second in the discus with a throw of 114 feet, 9 inches.

Madison Cuplin, Marble Falls: Won the regional championship in the long jump with a jump of 18-1. Also won the regional championship in the triple jump with a distance of 38-1.

McCall Boyd, Salado: Finished second in the 1600 with a time of 5:07.60.

Other medalists

McCall Boyd, Salado: Finished third in the 3200 with a time of 11:24.27.

Ana Gibby, Gateway Prep: Finished third in the 100 hurdles with a time of 15.39.

Macie Collier, La Grange: Finished third in the 300 hurdles with a time of 44.61.

Kylee Bragg, Salado: Finished third in the high jump with a height of 5-4.

Annalee Bryant, Salado: Finished third in the pole vault with a height of 10-6.

Jarrell: The 4×400 relay team finished third with a time of 3:57.92.

Boys

Automatic state qualifiers

Victor Aviles, Burnet: Won the regional championship in the 3200 with a time of 9:32.91. Also won the regional championship in the 800 with a time of 1:53.44 and the 1600 with a time of 4:20.31.

Tyler Hamblin, Marble Falls: Finished second in the 3200 with a time of 9:33.53.

Daniel Anderson, Salado: Finished second in the 800 with a time of 1:54.93.

Luke Anderson, Salado: Finished second in the 1600 with a time of 4:22.34.

Max Gist, Salado: Finished second in the high jump with a height of 6-4.

Cordale Knapik, La Grange: Won the regional championship in the pole vault with a height of 14-0.

Tyler Davis, Giddings: Finished second in the shot put with a throw of 55-2.5.

Other medalists

Coulson Boyd, Salado: Finished third in the 1600 with a time of 4:23.81.

David Prather, Burnet: Finished third in the long jump with a distance of 21-8.5.

Class 4A Region IV

Girls

Automatic state qualifiers

Carina Joyce, Wimberley: Finished second in the 3200-meter run with a time of 11 minutes, 58.84 seconds.

Kendall Fallon, Davenport: Finished second in the 800 with a time of 2:18.83.

Canyon Lake: The 4×100 relay team won the regional championship with a time of 48.84 seconds. The 4×200 relay team finished second with a time of 1:44.40.

Davenport: The 4×400 relay team won the regional championship with a time of 3:58.95.

Lago Vista: The 4×400 relay team finished second with a time of 4:00.61.

Maliya Curry, Manor New Tech: Won the 100 regional championship with a time of 11.93 seconds. She also finished second in the 200 with a time of 25.01.

Aubrey Avey, Canyon Lake: Won the regional championship in the 300 hurdles with a time of 44.11.

Lilah Smith, Lago Vista: A state qualifier last year, finished second in the pole vault with a height of 11 feet, 6 inches.

Hannah Hammer, Canyon Lake: Finished second in the 1600 with a time of 5:20.94.

Other medalists

Hannah Hammer, Canyon Lake: Finished third in the 800 with a time of 2:21.08.

Savanna Oberholtzer, Canyon Lake: Finished third in the 100 with a time of 12.27 seconds.

Boys

Automatic state qualifiers

Swayde Griffin, Lago Vista: The Texas Relays champion in the 110 hurdles won the regional championship in the 110 hurdles with a time of 13.54 seconds and qualified for his fourth state meet. He also won the 200 regional championship with a time of 21.56. He also won the regional championship in the high jump with a height of 6-4.

Noah Waida, Wimberley: Finished second in the 200 with a time of 21.66. Won the triple jump regional championship with a jump oof 46-0.50.

Matthew Purkey, Lago Vista: Finished second in the 300 hurdles with a time of 39.78.

Antione Baker, Austin LBJ: Finished second in the 400 with a time of 49.63, just nine-hundredths of a second off the championship time.

Austin LBJ: The 4×100 meter relay team won the regional championship with a time of 41.94 seconds. The 4×200 meter relay team won the regional championship with a time of 1:26.34.

Wimberley: The 4×200 meter relay team placed second with a time of 1:28.90. The 4×400 relay team won the regional championship with a time of 3:21.15.

Lago Vista: The 4×400 relay team finished second behind the Texans with a time of 3:21.89.

Elijah Bliss, Davenport: Won the 3200 regional championship with a time of 9:44.08.

Graydon Burke, Lago Vista: Finished second in the discus with a throw of 156.9.

Daevion Lewis, Manor New Tech: Finished second in the long jump with a leap of 23-7.

Charlie Hanle, Wimberley: Won the regional championship in the pole vault with a height of 14-9.

Other medalists

Jaylin Morrow, Davenport: Finished third in the 400 with a time of 50.22.

Austin LBJ: The 4×400 relay team finished third with a time of 3:21.98.

Nolan Waida, Wimberley: Finished third in the long jump with a jump of 23-5.75.

Koen Blakely, Lago Vista: Finished third in the triple jump with a distance of 43-7.
