Westlake and Dripping Springsโ€™ playoff hopes will come down to the teamsโ€™ meeting Tuesday at Tiger Stadium at Dripping Springs.

Westlake and Del Valle played to a 1-1 draw Friday night at Chaparral Stadium, saving the Chapsโ€™ playoff hopes and clinching a playoff spot for the Cardinals (10-5-4, 5-3-4 District 26-6A).

The Chaps (8-7-4, 4-4-3) now turn their attention to the Tigers (8-7-3, 5-4-2) where the final playoff spot from 26-6A will be on the line. Dripping Springs holds a two-point advantage over the Chaps, meaning Westlake will need to win in order to make the playoffs. If the Tigers win or tie, they are in the playoffs.

On Friday, Nicolas Miernes scored an early goal in the first half to put the Chaps up 1-0. The Cardinals answered a few minutes later and thatโ€™s where the game stood.

With the new playoff format this season, Lake Travis and Del Valle will be the Division I representatives from the district. Bowie and Westlake or Dripping Springs will be the Division II teams. The 2025 soccer playoffs begin March 20.

Hereโ€™s more action from this weekend around the Austin metropolitan area:

Cedar Park boys upset Glenn: While it doesnโ€™t affect the standings, the Timberwolves pulled up a 3-2 upset of Glenn Friday at home. Cedar Park took a 2-1 lead into halftime and traded goals with the Grizzlies (18-3-1, 11-1-1 District 25-5A) in the second half. Cedar Parkโ€™s Montez Remark was named player of the match.

Glenn has secured the district championship and will finish its season Tuesday at home with Leander. The Timberwolves (11-3-6, 9-1-3) will travel to Liberty Hill on Tuesday.

Lockhart (13-4-3, 6-4-3) secured the third playoff spot from the district Friday with a 1-1 tie against the Lions. Liberty Hill holds a three-point advantage over Leander for the final playoff spot and will clinch with a win over Cedar Park or a Leander Loss to Glenn.

New Braunfels boys tops Boerne Champion: The Unicorns (10-6-4, 8-4-2 District 26-5A) picked up a much-needed win Friday with a 4-1 victory over Boerne Champion. Junior Ryder Mosqueda got the hat trick for New Braunfels and junior Isaac Leach added the other goal.

The Unicorns need a win or a tie in their next two games to clinch a playoff berth. District rival Smithson Valley (9-7-4, 7-4-3) can also clinch a playoff berth with one win in their next two games or a tie.

Piaper (18-4, 15-0) has won the district championship, while Boerne has also clinched a playoff spot.
