Here are photos from Thursday’s action at the UIL state track and field championships at Mike A. Myers Stadium on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin. Class 4A and 3A athletes competed for state championships in field and running events, with several local athletes winning medals, including Giddings’ Kaylon Metcalf in the Class 4A shot put.
