Few games remain in the Texas high school soccer season

The Texas high school soccer season is entering its final two weeks. Here is a district-by-district look at the playoff picture and district title races. The playoffs begin on March 25.
Class 6A
District 12-6A
Who’s in the playoffs: Weiss, Waco Midway
On the bubble: Hutto, Temple, Bryan
Key matchups down the stretch
Weiss at Waco Midway (7:15 p.m., Tuesday): This match will give the winner the upper hand in the district championship race. The Wolves (13-2-3, 8-1-1 district) trail Midway by one point in the standings with two games left on the schedule.
Bryan at Hutto (1:30 p.m., Tuesday): Another match with playoff implications. Both teams are in a dead heat with Temple for the final two playoff spots from the district. Hutto has a two-point advantage over Temple and a three-point lead over Bryan. If the Hippos (6-3-6, 4-2-4) beat the Vikings, they are in the playoffs.

Hutto has the upper hand in the race with Bryan and Temple in the playoff hunt. If the Hippos lose to Bryan, and Bryan beats Harker Heights and Temple beats last-place Copperas Cove, Hutto will have to knock off Weiss in the season finale on March 21 to make the postseason.
District 25-6A
Who’s in the playoffs: Vandegrift, Vista Ridge, Round Rock, Stony Point
On the bubble: none

District 25-6A season concluded Friday. Vandegrift (16-2-2, 11-1-2) won the district championship. Stony Point edged out McNeil for the fourth playoff spot. The Tigers played to a 1-1 tie win Manor in the season finale, giving Stony Point a 1-point advantage in the district standings over the Mavericks, who beat Cedar Ridge in the finale.
District 26-6A
Who’s in the playoffs: Bowie, Westlake, Del Valle
On the bubble: Lake Travis, Akins
Key matchups down the stretch
Lake Travis at Buda Johnson (7:45 p.m., March 19): It’s pretty simple for the Cavaliers (6-9-5, 4-5-5). Defeat last-place Johnson in the regular season finale and you’re in the playoffs. Lose, and Akins gets in with a win over Westlake.
Westlake at Akins (7:45 p.m., March 19): This is a must-win for Akins (8-9-2, 5-8-1). If the Eagles lose, Lake Travis claims the final playoff spot from the district.

Three of the four playoff spots from District 26-6A have been decided. Bowie (18-0-2, 13-0-1) clinched the district championship and will play Stony Point in the first round of the playoffs. Westlake (15-3-3, 12-3-0) is the district runner-up and will face Round Rock in the first round. Del Valle (9-3-6, 7-3-4) will take on Vista Ridge in a bi-district playoff, while Lake Travis or Akins will face Vandegrift.
District 27-6A
Who’s in the playoffs: Schertz Clemens, Cibolo Steele, New Braunfels San Marcos
On the bubble: None

Unbeaten Connally (20-0-2, 12-0-2) claimed the district championship over Georgetown (16-2-5, 10-1-3), while East View (10-6-5, 7-4-3) took the No. 3 seed over Pflugerville (9-10-2, 7-6-1)
District 23-5A
Who’s in the playoffs: LASA, McCallum, Northeast, Crockett
On the bubble: none

LASA went undefeated in district play to claim the district championship. The Raptors (16-1-1, 14-0) will take on Pflugerville in the first round. McCallum (12-3-2, 12-2-0) took the No. 2 seed and will face East View in the playoffs, while talented Northeast (12-4-3, 7-4-3) will face Georgetown in a bi-district playoff. Crockett (6-11-3, 6-6-2) draws Connally in the first round.
District 25-5A
Who’s in the playoffs: Glenn, Rouse, Liberty Hill
On the bubble: Cedar Park, Leander

District 25-5A concluded its season on March 8, but the fourth playoff spot will be determined by a tiebreaker. Cedar Park (6-14-3, 5-6-3) and Leander (7-10-6, 5-6-3) finished the season tied for fourth place. If the tiebreaker is determined by goal differential, Leander (-4) edges out Cedar Park (-5) by a single goal. … Unbeaten Glenn (23-0-1, 13-0-1) won the district title, while Rouse (12-5-4, 9-3-2) was the runner-up and Liberty Hill (10-6-4, 7-4-3) finished third.
Class 4A
District 24-4A
Who’s in the playoffs: Manor New Tech, Taylor, Rockdale, Giddings
On the bubble: none

District 24-4A concluded its season on March 8. Manor New Tech (14-4-2, 10-2) won the district championship, while Taylor (11-8-0, 9-3) finished second. Giddings (9-11-1, 6-6-0) edged out La Grange for the final playoff spot.
District 25-4A
Who’s in the playoffs: Marble Falls, Austin Achieve, Burnet, Lago Vista
On the bubble: none

District 25-4A concluded its season on March 8. Marble Falls (18-2-1, 10-0) won the district championship with a two-game advantage over Austin Achieve (12-8-0, 8-2). Burnet and Lago Visa are tied for third place and will us a tiebreaker to determine playoff seeding.
District 26-4A
Who’s in the playoffs: Boerne, Wimberley, Fredericksburg, Davenport
On the bubble: none
Key matchups down the stretch
Wimberley at Boerne (7 p.m., March 19): Boerne (16-0-0, 9-0-0) has already clinched the district championship, but Wimberley (9-9-1, 6-3-0) is playing for the No. 2 seed. The Texans hold a three-point advantage over Fredericksburg and Davenport

District 26-4A has one more set of games on March 19 that has the potential to create a mess. If Wimberley loses to the Greyhounds and Fredericksburg and Davenport both win their finales against Canyon Lake and last-place Bandera, respectively, it will create a three-way tie for second place.
