The UIL boys basketball regional tournaments begin on Friday with three teams from the Greater Austin Metro Area vying for spots in next weekend’s state tournament at the Alamodome. Here is the schedules for regional tournaments featuring area teams.

Class 6A-Region IV

Friday-Saturday at Northside Sports Gymnasium, 8400 N Loop 1604 W, San Antonio

Semifinals

5 p.m., Friday: Lake Travis (32-5) vs. San Antonio O’Connor (25-12)

7:25 p.m., Friday: Stony Point (35-1) vs. San Antonio Brennan (31-4)

Championship

2 p.m., Saturday: Lake Travis/O’Connor winner vs. Stony Point/Brennan winner

Class 2A-Region IV

Friday-Saturday at Buda Johnson High School, 4260 FM 967, Buda

Semifinals

6 p.m., Friday: Sabine Pass (22-10) vs. Santa Maria (19-12)

8 p.m., Friday: Thrall (28-5) vs. Kenedy (22-10)

Championship

1 p.m., Saturday: Thrall/Kenedy winner vs. Sabine Pass/Santa Maria winner
