KYLE โ€“ย  It’s been five years since current Texas Longhorns star Shay Holle helped lead Westlake to the Class 6A-Region IV finals.

After a trio of first-round exits and a cancelled playoffs in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lady Chaparrals are headed back to San Antonio.

Westlake (28-5) put on an impressive shooting display Tuesday at Lehman High School in Kyle to defeat San Antonio Churchill 59-37 in a regional quarterfinal. The Lady Chaps will play San Antonio Brennan on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in a 6A-IV semifinal.
