Only three boys soccer teams remain undefeated in the Greater Austin metro area – Bowie, Glenn and Connally. The Grizzlies, the No. 1 team in our Class 5A-4A rankings, have won 15 straight matches. The Bulldogs and Cougars have played to a single tie in 12 and 13 matches, respectively.
McNeil and Austin LASA are newcomers in the Class 6A and 5A-4A rankings, respectively. The Raptors are in first place in District 24-5A, while McNeil has won three straight and is tied with Vista Ridge for second place in District 25-6A.
Class 6A Power 5
1. Bowie (11-0-1)
The Bulldogs remained undefeated with wins over Westlake and Lake Travis last week. Senior Griffin Crawley scored Bowie’s lone goal in the win over the Chaps and had another in the 3-2 win over the Cavaliers.
2. Vandegrift (10-1-0)
The Vipers beat Cedar Ridge 4-0 on Friday and played Vista Ridge to a 2-2 tie on Tuesday.
3. Weiss (7-1-2)
The Wolves have won four straight and defeated Temple and Copperas Cove by a combined score of 11-1.
4. McNeil (10-3)
The Mavericks are winners of three straight matches, including last week’s 2-1 victories over Round Rock and Stony Point.
5. Westlake (8-2-3)
The Chaparrals dropped a close 1-0 decision to Bowie on Friday but rebounded with a 2-1 win over Johnson on Tuesday. Yaniv Dajman and Simon Katz each scored goals for Westlake.

Class 5A/4A Power 5
1. Glenn (15-0-0)
The Grizzlies won their 14th and 15th straight soccer match to remain unbeaten in the 2024 Texas high school boys soccer season. Glenn topped Leander 2-1 and Cedar Park 4-0.
2. Connally (12-0-1)
The Cougars only blemish from perfection is a 1-1 tie with Connally on Jan. 23. Connally has beat Elgin and Cedar Creek in the past week.
3. Georgetown (9-1-4)
The Eagles played to a 2-2 tie with Cedar Creek on Tuesday and beat Hendrickson 7-0 on Tuesday. Georgetown hosts East View on Friday at Birkelbach Field in Georgetown.
4. East View (8-2-2)
The Patriots have won eight straight and continue to roll through District 23-5A. East View picked up wins over Pflugerville and Hendrickson last week.
5. Austin LASA (7-1-2)
The Raptors have won six straight matches, including a 2-1 win over McCallum this past Friday and a 1-0 decision against Northeast on Tuesday.
