Here are On the Sidelinesโ€™ Sports top five high school boys basketball teams in Class 6A, Class 5A and Class 4A-below in the Greater Austin Metro Area.

Class 6A notes

The top three remains unchanged in this weekโ€™s On the Sidelines Sports Austin Metro Boys Basketball Class 6A Power 5 as teams head into the final full week of the regular season on Tuesday. Our No. 1 team, Stony Point, clinched the District 25-6A championship last week and hasnโ€™t lost since December. โ€ฆ Lake Travis, Westlake and Buda Johnson are in a dead heat down the stretch in 26-6A, but that will be cleared up this week as the Jaguars play Westlake at home Tuesday and host Lake Travis on Friday. โ€ฆ Vandegrift is back in the rankings and is tied with Manor for second place in 25-6A.

Class 5A notes: The only change in this weekโ€™s poll is that Glenn and Hendrickson swap placesโ€ฆ. Hendrickson lost to Georgetown on Friday. โ€ฆ Rouse  and McCallum, the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in our Class 5A Power 5, have two of the longest winning streaks in the area. The Raiders have won nine straight, while McCallum has won 15 straight games.

Class 5A notes: Speaking of winning streaks, La Grange is tied with McCallum for the longest winning streak in all classifications at 15 games. The Leopards clinched a share of the District 22-4A championship on Friday with a win over Giddings, and swapped places with Thrall in our Class 4A-1A Power 5. โ€ฆ Thorndale has the second-longest winning streak in the area at 14 games and remains the No. 1 team. โ€ฆ Jarrell and Wimberley also swap places. Both teams can clinch playoff spots this week.
