Bowie returns to the weekly poll and have won five-straight games, including Fridayโ€™s upset of Buda Johnson. Bowie is one of the hottest teams in Class 6A. The Bulldogs will take on a Westlake team that has also won five straight on Friday at what should be a rowdy Chaparral Gymnasium. โ€ฆ Stony Point remained the No. 1 team and also clinched a playoff spot. With three weeks left in the regular season, the Tigers can clinch the district championship as early as Friday with the help of losses by Manor and Round Rock. โ€ฆ Lake Tavis wrapped up a playoff spot on Friday with Westlakeโ€™s win over Dripping Springs.  The Cavaliers hold a ยฝ-game lead over Buda Johnson and Westlake for first place.

Georgetown hosts Hendrickson this Friday in a game with huge district championship implications. However, red-hot Cedar Creek, which has won four-straight, is two games back from first place and will get a shot at Georgetown on Feb. 6. โ€ฆ Glenn, Rouse and Cedar Park are battling it out in 25-5A.
