Senior Nathan Scott scored 22 points while senior Reece Nygren added 12 as the visiting La Grange Leopards defeated District 22-4A rival Giddings 61-48 Tuesday night. Senior guard Mason Chandler lead the Buffaloes with 13 points, while sophomore Brandon Burgdorf added 12. La Grange moves to 17-8 overall and 4-0 in district play. Giddings drops to 6-15 and 2-2 in district play.

Westlake 75, Akins 53: Jack Seiders scored a team-high 21 points as the Westlake Chaparrals rebounded after Friday’s last-second loss to Buda Johnson with a home win over Akins in District 26-6A action. The Chaparrals are off Friday and will take on rival Lake Travis Tuesday.

Connally 83, Basrop 31: Mekhai Bryant scored 22 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to help Connally improve to 3-1 in District 23-5A with a victory over host Bastrop. The Cougars have won three strtaight games and will host rival Pflugerville on Friday.

Thorndale 54, Holland 25: Kaden Kovar scored 21 points to lead Thorndale past visiting Holland in a District 27-2A matchup Tuesday. Kale Meadors and Braden Pickel added 14 and 10 points, respectively. The Bulldogs are 20-3 overall and 3-0 in district play and are ranked No. 9 by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches.
