Westlake jumped out to a dominant first-quarter lead and never looked back, defeating Converse Judson 61-38 to win the Class 6A Division II Region IV championship at Hays High School. The 39-0 Chaparrals advance to the state semifinals for the first time since 2003 and continue their pursuit of the program’s first state title since 1996.
