From staff reports

President & Publisher Michael Adams revealed a new refreshed logo Sunday, marking the next step in the evolution of The Sports Journals’ brand and aligning the Austin Sports Journal’s visual identity with the Texas Volleyball Journal, launching in 2026.
The new logo aligns the fonts, colors and branding with all of The Sports Journals’ publications.
The updated design reflects the growth of our coverage and the broader vision guiding our network of sports journalism across the state. While the look is new, the mission remains unchanged: to provide trusted, in-depth reporting that highlights the athletes, teams and communities that make the Austin-area sports scene special.
This alignment between Austin Sports Journal and the Texas Volleyball Journal is intentional. As the company expands beyond a single market into a statewide platform โ exclusively within volleyball โ a unified brand helps create consistency across all digital, social and editorial platforms.
Readers will begin seeing the updated logo across the Austin Sports Journal website, social media channels and multimedia content in the coming days. The transition will be seamless, and no changes are being made to our editorial standards, coverage depth or local focus.
The Austin Sports Journal remains committed to South Central Texas sports fans, while also contributing to a growing statewide sports journalism network built on credibility, access and authenticity.
We are grateful to our readers, athletes, coaches and partners for your continued support as we enter this next chapter.
Same coverage. Same standards. A new look for whatโs ahead.
