Westlake forward Bo Ogden announced his commitment Tuesday and will be staying close to home.
In front of a packed gym at Westlake High School, the 6-foot-5 forward unzipped his Westlake hoodie and revealed a Texas Longhorns shirt, signaling he was committed to the University of Texas.
Ogden, the No. 4 player in Texas by 24/7 sports, was considering offers from Purdue, Tennessee, East Carolina and Kansas.
Ultimately, the opportunity to play close to home and be near family is what swayed his decision.
