LA GRANGE – La Grange put together a 41-point first quarter and went into cruise control mode to defeat the visiting Taylor Ducks 55-18 Friday at Leopard Stadium.

The Leopards (3-1) scored on every drive of the 1st quarter, including a 65-yard punt return by Trey Broussard. By the end of the 1st quarter, La Grange had a commanding 41-0 lead.

Taylor (0-4) opened up the second half with two touchdown drives including a 96-yard drive to cut the lead to 48-12. The Leopards answered with a touchdown of their own, making it 55-12.

Next week, Taylor will start District 13-4A-I play at home versus Manor New Tech, while La Grange will close its non-district schedule with a trip to Navasota.
