The early national signing period for football began Wednesday and will continue through Thursday.
There were 24 Austin-area high school football players that signed their national letters of intent to their respective colleges, including Anderson wide receiver Ed Small (TCU) and quarterback Max Gerlich (UTSA). Players that don’t sign by Friday can do so on National Signing Day on Feb. 5.
The early signing period for other sports was in November.
Note to coaches: If you have a football player that signed during the early signing period and they aren’t on this list, please email Publisher Michael Adams at madams@austinsportsjournal.com and include their name, position and college they are signing with.
