PFLUGERVILLE โ For one half of football, the Weiss Wolves looked like a team ready for the postseason.
Then, the second half happened.
College Station (9-1, 7-1 District 12-5A-I) outscored Weiss 27-7 in the second half to defeat the Wolves 44-38 Thursday night at The Pfield in Pflugerville.

Weiss (7-2, 5-2) put together big play after big play to take a comfortable 31-14 lead into the locker room at halftime.
Senior wide receiver Adrian Wilson caught two touchdown passes of 72 and 61 yards in the second quarter, while running back Braiden Wooley ran in a 42-yard score in the final minute of the first half.
The Wolves took a 10-0 lead after the first quarter thanks to a 4-yard run by Nicholas Johnson and a 47-yard field goal by James Buchanan.
College Station got a 52-yard field goal from Gustavo Lopez in the final seconds of the first half to cut Weissโ lead to 17 points.
Weiss has clinched a playoff spot and will close out the regular season next Friday against Anderson at House Park Stadium.
