Helmet stickers: The top performers around the Austin area from Week 5

Here are the standout high school football players who earned helmet stickers from the Austin Sports Journal for week 5:

Drew Norrell, Westwood: The junior wide receiver had 7 catches for 145 yards and one touchdown. He also scored a rushing touchdown while running for 17 yards on four carries in the Warriors’ win over Manor.

Maddox Maher, Dripping Springs: The senior quarterback completed 11 of 13 passes for 143 yards and four touchdowns in one half of action in the Tigers’ win over Akins.

Ty Blair, East View: The senior quarterback threw for 415 yards and 5 touchdowns, completing 20 of 31 pass attempts with one interception in the Patriots win over Glenn. He also had eight carries for 60 yards.

Tanner Namken, East View: The senior wide receiver had 7 catches for 210 yards and two touchdowns in the Patriots’ win over Glenn.

Tray Mote, Llano: The senior running back rushed for 108 yards on 15 carries and scored three touchdowns in the Yellowjackets’ win over Comfort.

JD Friday, Llano: The junior cornerback had 11 tackles, an interception and blocked a field goal in the Yellowjackets’ win over Comfort.

Logan Mitchell, Leander: The senior quarterback had a total 363 yards and scored three touchdowns in the Lions’ win over Georgetown. He rushed for 102 yards on 15 carries and ran in three touchdowns, while throwing for 261 yards and two touchdowns.

Jett Walker, Georgetown: The junior running back rushed for 180 yards on 24 carries in the Eagles’ loss to Leander.

Brendan Fournier, Vandegrift: The senior running back rushed for 96 yards on 12 carries and scored two touchdowns in the Vipers’ win over Vista Ridge.

Bryce Johns, Rouse: The senior running back rushed for 109 yards on 18 carries and scored one touchdown in the Raiders’ win over Lake Belton.

London Morgan, Rouse: The junior quarterback threw for 286 yards and two touchdowns, completing 20 of 29 pass attempts without an interception.

Clayton Cooper, La Grange: The senior quarterback tallied 308 total yards and four touchdowns in the Leopards win over Navasota. He rushed for 200 yards on 27 carries and scored three touchdowns, while throwing for 108 yards and one touchdown, completing 14 of 22 pass attempts without an interception.

Joshua Williams, McNeil: The senior athlete rushed for 242 yards on 33 carries and scored four touchdowns in the Knights win over Stony Point.

Mason Troyer, Stony Point: The junior quarterback threw for 402 yards and three touchdowns, completing 23 of 27 pass attempts without an interception in the Tigers’ loss to McNeil.

Andrew Gomez, Stony Point: The senior wide receiver caught 11 passes for 204 yards and one touchdown in the Tigers’ loss to McNeil.

Jaxon Schad, Weiss: The freshman quarterback threw for 345 yards and five touchdowns, completing 20 of 24 pass attempts without an interception in the Wolves’ win over Hendrickson.

Adrian Wilson, Weiss: The senior wide receiver caught three passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns in the Wolves’ win over Hendrickson.

Jalen Owens, Elgin: The senior wide receiver caught four passes for 115 yards and two touchdowns in the Wildcats’ win over Pflugerville.

Rhyder Miller, Pflugerville: The senior running back had 109 yards and three touchdowns on 12 carries in the Panthers’ loss to Elgin.

Ali Scott, LBJ: The senior quarterback had 406 total yards and four touchdowns in the Jaguars’ win over San Antonio Cornerstone on Friday. He thre for 327 yards, completing 17 of 22 pass attempts.
