BUDA – On a night where senior setter Brooklyn Myers recorded her 2,000 career assist, the Buda Johnson Jaguars notched their 13th win in their last 14 matches by defeating Bowie 25-23, 25-18, 15-25, 25-20 Tuesday night at Johnson High School.
Johnson (16-4) is coming off a second place finish at the Pflugerville ISD VolleyPfest Tournament. The only blemish in the current stretch was a loss to powerhouse Austin High in the championship match. Myers, libero Rileigh Butler and outside hitter Zaniah Hoskins made the all-tournament team.
