Westwood put together a rally in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Antonio Martinez and Jake Jones scored a run each to cut into Johnson’s lead with two outs. The Warriors then put runners on second and third, but couldn’t capitalize as Ridge Morgan struck out to end the inning.
The Warriors put two runners on base in the bottom of the seventh, but again couldn’t capitalize and Johnson held on to take the series.
“This team is resilient, they never give up no matter what the score is,” said Westwood head coach Casey Carter. “We always feel like we’re in the game and we always have a chance to win. It just game to an end (Saturday).”
