Thursday’s playoff soccer action was full of surprises, and Austin dominance over San Antonio

The biggest shocker of the night was in boys Class 5A where Magnolia West upset previously unbeaten, and 5A favorite, Connally in overtime.

Another huge upset favored the Austin area where the McCallum girls stunned state-power Magnolia in a Class 5A area playoff.

Finally, both the Lake Travis and Westlake girls won their respective area playoffs to set up Battle of the Lakes III in next week’s regional quarterfinals.
