The area round of the 2024 Texas high school girls basketball playoffs concluded on Friday. Five more area teams joined Thrall in advancing to the third round of the 2024 UIL Texas high school girls basketball playoffs.

Cedar Park and Liberty Hill will face each other in a Class 5A-IV regional quarterfinal, while Glenn will face San Antonio Wagner in another.

Westlake is the only Class 6A team still alive. The Chaps defeated San Antonio Brandies, while Vista Ridge, Vandegrift and Cedar Ridge were all eliminated.
