There is a little more than one month left in the Texas high school girls basketball season. This week’s On the Sidelines Sports’ Game of the Week could arguably be labeled the “game of the year.” 

Game of the Week

Glenn at Liberty Hill, 7 p.m., Friday

The Glenn Lady Grizzles (22-2, 4-1 District 25-5A) take their high-powered offense eight miles up the road to Liberty Hill where the undefeated Lady Panthers (26-0, 5-0) will be anything but cordial hosts.

The Grizzlies enter the week after being upset by Cedar Park on Friday. Glenn, led by junior Soma Okolo and senior Mariah Houston, will look to bounce back Tuesday against rival Rouse before Friday’s game.

Gaby Mundy and company are winners of 26 straight games. The Lady Panthers will try not to get caught looking ahead on Tuesday in a tough road contest against Hays, which has won 20 games this season.
