Texas high school boys basketball district races are heating up in the Greater Austin metro area. There’s not a bigger district game this week than the On the Sidelines Sports’ Game of the Week.

Game of the Week

Buda Johnson at Lake Travis, 7 p.m., Tuesday

Buda Johnson’s 54-52 win over Westlake Friday set up a huge District 26-6A showdown with Lake Travis (21-3, 6-0).

The Jaguars (19-4, 6-0) have won eight of their last 10 games and haven’t lost since falling to Stafford at the Hays Holiday Classic on Dec. 30. Lake Travis has also won eight of their last 10 games. The Cavaliers last loss to Plano on Dec 29 at the Allen Holiday Tournament.

This game will feature several of the area’s best players, including 4-star junior forward Hudson Greer of Lake Travis and Buda Johnson’s guard duo of Jack Untermeyer and Jaxson Vandegarde.
